What is the break policy?

The break policy allows all members on the server to get extended time with tasks or completely get permission to skip tasks completely. The break policy benefits those in need as they are granted permission to miss out on Starfall work due to mental health, emergencies, or more.

How can I apply?

Why you can apply for a break is for the following reasons:

• Mental Health
• Family Emergency
• Physical Health or Illness
• Holidays
• Real Life Events (exams, a passing, etc)

To apply, you should open a ticket on the Starfall Discord server. A moderator will show up and speak to you about your issue. Explaining to the moderator that you want a break, they will ask for more detail. For example, “what will you be going on break for?”.

Why was my break denied?

Sometimes, a moderator will deny a break request but will offer alternatives. Requests can be denied due to the severity of your reason and your history. If proven to neglect the break policy, moderators might deny break requests.

If offered an alternative, this can be in the form of an extension. All working members are able to have extensions for any of their work. If you receive this extension, you should state how much time you’d need to finish your time. (E.G, A week of extra time)
